About Us
Game Trail Association, Inc. is a residential community located five miles northwest of the mountain town of Buena Vista, Colorado. The community sits on 1,880 acres and has approximately 18 miles of private roads. There are 440 lots and about 300 custom homes built.
In 1995, the community transitioned from the developer (The Game Trail Company) to the existing Game Trail Association, Inc., a Colorado non-profit corporation (GTA). A member-elected five-person Board of Directors is responsible for the administration of the community.
GTA abuts the National Forest and members enjoy some of the best scenery in the state of Colorado. In 2002 a perpetual conservation easement of 400 acres was established as an Elk Corridor within Game Trail. The combination of truly superior development and conscientious volunteer self-government has resulted in a community deemed by realtors as “the most prestigious in Chaffee County.”
