The forestry committee is offering a mixed-conifer forest health workshop to Game Trail folks on May 18 at 10 am. The workshop is lead by the Colorado State foresters.
This will be a walk-about format on hilly uneven ground in the forest, so dress appropriately and wear sturdy shoes. The meet-up location with the foresters is at Judy Wait’s home in the northwest corner of Game Trail (30366 National Forest Drive).
We will look to identify spruce budworm infestation of the Douglas fir as well as the various bark beetles and other pests in the spruce, fir, ponderosa, aspen and lodge pole pine forest.
